Endorsement: Kerry Trask for State Assembly

August 17, 2010

MADISON — On behalf of its thousands of members, Clean Wisconsin Action Fund proudly announced its endorsement of Kerry Trask for the 25th Assembly District today.

“Kerry Trask is committed to protecting the Great Lakes and bringing clean energy job creation to the 25th Assembly District,” said Gary Goyke, board chair of the Clean Wisconsin Action Fund. “On the heels of a legislative session when much environmental legislation was dismissed, Trask’s commitment to environmental issues would be a welcome addition to the Wisconsin State Assembly.”

Running to represent a district nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan, Trask recognizes the vital need to restore and protect the Great Lakes.

“The Great Lakes are one of Wisconsin’s most valuable resources, and we need strong leaders like Kerry Trask who understand the critical importance of protecting these treasures for future generations,” said Goyke.

The 25th Assembly District is home to many clean energy companies including Orion, an energy efficient lighting company, and Towertech, a manufacturer of wind turbine components. Trask supports growing the 25th Assembly District as a clean energy hub by passing policies that promote clean, renewable energy.

“Kerry Trask sees that clean energy policies go hand-in-hand with job creation,” said Goyke. “A vote for Kerry Trask is a vote to protect Lake Michigan, create clean energy jobs, and clean our environment.”
